Terms of Use
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms cover your use of ai-caretaker.live and your participation in the AI Caretaker private beta (together, the “Service”), run by Aryan Dhingra. By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Not a medical device. Not an emergency service.
Please read this section carefully. AI Caretaker is an experimental research prototype. It is not a medical device, it has not been cleared or approved by the FDA or any other regulator, and it doesn't diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.
AI Caretaker can miss emergencies, raise false alarms, or stop working because of power outages, Wi-Fi problems, outages at third-party services, or speech it can't understand. It is not a replacement for supervision, professional medical care, or emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.
2. Who can participate
You must be at least 18 to sign up for the beta. If you enroll on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have the authority to do so, that you'll get their consent where they're able to give it, and that you'll let others in the home know the device is there.
3. The beta
The beta is offered by invitation and may change, pause, or end at any time. Features may be incomplete, and I may contact you to ask how it's going.
If you receive a device as part of the beta, please use it only for its intended purpose, don't take it apart or modify it, and return it if I ask, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
4. Your feedback
Feedback makes AI Caretaker better. When you send ideas, suggestions, or bug reports, you agree that I may use them to improve the product without owing you anything. I'll never publish your name or personal story without asking first.
5. Intellectual property
AI Caretaker, including its design, software, name, and the content of this site, belongs to me. The system is covered by U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 64/073,388 (patent pending). The published paper is subject to the publisher's license. Please don't copy, reverse engineer, or resell any part of the Service.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't submit false information or spam through the forms.
- Don't try to access data, accounts, or systems that aren't yours.
- Don't use the device to record people without their knowledge.
- Don't interfere with, overload, or attack the Service.
7. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any harm resulting from a missed, delayed, or incorrect alert, arising from your use of the Service. Some places don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Ending participation
You can leave the beta at any time by emailing me. I may end your participation if these terms are broken or if the beta ends. Sections 1, 5, 7, 8, and 10 continue to apply afterward.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States. I may update them as the product changes. The date above shows the latest version, and I'll email beta participants about significant changes.
